Welcome to the ne8 shorter url service!

The purpose of this service is to turn a really long url into a shorter, easily accessible url.  This can be done in two ways: Simply entering the long url into the the box above, or using the api. Using the api allows you to integrate the shorter url  into your product or service.

Can be turned into:

 http://ne8.org/c 

Ne8.org urls do not ever expire, and there is no limit to the amount of urls you can add.

Roadmap
-Provide a real preview mechanism, screenshot the site and show it in the preview.
-Start optionally using ajax
-Rewrite in ruby and open source

Please do not abuse this service! This service was created as a convenience to users. Any urls found to be malicious, spammed, redirecting to illegal sites or anything that is not lawful will be reported to the proper authorities and deleted from the system. Abuse reports can go to abuse@ne8.org.
